
Jennifer was always hoping to become a multitasking superstar. She was an avid fan of a wide range music styles as a kid, including Afro-Caribbean rhythms such as merengue, salsa and merengue and bachata. As an adult, her most loved genres were popular pop, R&B Hip-Hop, as well as mainstream pop-punk. She was a big fan of films and music. Her biggest influence was the Rita Moreno musical, West Side Story (1961). At 5, Jennifer began taking singing and dancing lessons. Alongside being a talented entertainer, Jennifer became a Catholic schoolgirl, attending eight years of an Catholic primary school known as Holy Family which was located at The Bronx, before graduating from an all-girls prep school, Preston High School after an entire four years. Jennifer did well in sports throughout her school years and played tennis as well as track and field. Jennifer spent the majority of her time living in a 2-story house in the Castle Hill neighborhood. After turning 18, Jennifer moved out of the home of her parents. At this point, Lopez worked at a law firm and took dance jobs in the evening.
